Tying Instructions
Set the hook in the vise and lay down a base of thread. Tie in the pheasant tail with a minimum number of wraps just ahead of the bend. Next tie in the ribbing material and spiral the thread forward to the mid point
of the shank. Wrap the pheasant tail forward forming the abdomen and tie off. Do not trim excess! Counter wrap the rib and tie off. Tie in one to two strands of peacock herl and wrap to build the abdomen. Tie off leaving
sufficient room to tie off wing case, tie in winging material, and form the
head without crowding the eye. Fold forward and tie off the excess pheasant tail to form the wing case. Tie in 5-9 CDC fibers. Form head and whip finish. Trim wing to suit. Catch fish.

Fishing Tips
A fast tie, I find this fly a useful imitation of a variety of emergent insects and tie it down to a size 22. It is especially useful for picky trout. As far as I know, I am the originator of the fly, although it is not in my opinion different enough to warrant its own name.
