| Tying Instructions |
| Wrap lead if desired and start thread. Wrap thread to tie in point at the bend. Take a blood maribou plume and stroke all the barbs to the tip. This will be your tail. Tie in the tail and fold the rest of the feather over the tie in wraps and over wrap with thread. This covers the tie in wraps. Take the feather body and twist the whole feather up tight, counter clockwise. Take this twisted feather and wrap to the eye to form the body and tie off. Take the rest of the feather that is left and fold back on top of the hook behind the eye and overwrap and form the head. Clip the remaining butt at an angle to form the wing. Another version is to cut off all the butt and add a longer maribou wing. |
