| Tying Instructions |
- Attach a short tail of deer hair to the hook at the position just above the
barb, taking care to not flare the hair. A drop of head cement helps to keep
the hair from twisting around the hook.
- Attach the copper wire and the ginger hackle.
- Dub the body to about the mid-point.
- Palmer the attached hackle over the body and then wrap over the hackle
with the wire (in the opposite direction).
- Tie on 3-4 strands of Krystal Flash...do not trim.
- Prepare a piece of turkey wing by rounding the end and tie on over the
Krystal flash. Trim the Krystal Flash to extend a smidge past the turkey.
- Tamp a match-stick size clump of deer hair and tie on so that it extends
to the end of the turkey. Again a drop of cement helps to hold everything.
- Tie in the grizzly hackle.
- Dub the front portion up to the eye and wrap the hackle over this.
- Whip finish and then attach the red mono with a few wraps and whip
finish that also.
A word of caution...don't crowd the head with the wings or you will not have
room for the rest of the materials...
Happy fishin'...enjoy...byard |
