Thorax: 76 Scientilla Grandis Green
Thread: Black 8/0
Legs: Black ostrich herl (3 to 4 wraps)
Ribbing: Fine gold wire
Body: Natural hare's mask
Tail: None
Hook: TMC 2487 14's & 16's

| Tying Instructions |
Place a 1/8" gold bead on hook. Tie in thread and bring to about 50% mark on hook. (add 1 drop of head Cement to bead). Bring the thread around the bend of the hook. Tie in ribbing material . Apply wax to the thread touch dub natural hare's mask to a 3 to 4 inch section of the thread. Dub up to about 60% mark. Rib with gold wire five to six turns and tie off. Trim out guard hairs. Dub about 1 1\2 inches of thread with Scintilla 76 (Grandis Green). Tie in Ostrich Herl and wrap forward three to four turns. Tie off herl, whip finish the head.
Fishing Notes:
Fish this fly April and May. Tie on an Elk Hair Caddis with about a 30 to 40 inch dropper, tie on the pupa. Dead drift and fish on the swing.
Dubbing Mixture:
Mixture should be 1 part mask, 1 part cheek 1/2 part pole. This mixture will yeald a soft light tan mixture.
