|
Body: Bright olive
Legs: Brown hackle (long)
Wing: Light or bleached elk hair
Hook: Mustad 94840, 14 or 16
Thread: Tan

| Tying Instructions |
Tie in the brown hackle near the hook's bend (butt end or palmer style).
Dub the body large at the rear and taper forward. Palmer the hackle and
trim the top. Prepare a clump of elk hair (30ish), remove guard hair and
even the tips. Tie in elk pinching and securing firmly (about 5 wraps).
The elk will spread slightly. Take 3 wraps under the tag end of the elk,
this stands it up a bit. Grab it and trim it with an angle toward the eye.
This fly floats well and is visible into the evening.
