Tying Instructions
- Wrap hook with thread to bend and re-wrap to prevent future slide.
- Tie in 2-3 peacock herls, double back and divide to form split tail. Cut to 1/3 length of body.
- Trim length of vinyl ribbing at an angle and tie in covering the lower 2/3 of the hook. Wrap with thread to secure; wrap to bend.
- Tie in length of leech yarn. (I used spectrumized brown) Wrap forward covering vinyl and tie off.
- Wind vinyl up (usually 3-4 wraps) and tie off. It is much easier to tie off the vinyl if you trim it at an angle.
- Tie in 6-8 peacock strands to be used as wing case. Tie in one black saddle hackle to be used as legs.
- Dub thorax with thick dubbing, color of preferance.
- Palmer hackle forward, generally 2-3 wraps. Trim top of hackles.
- Pull peacock over and trim.
- Whip finish

Fishing Tips
Lead may be added if desired. I generally fish the fly a foot or so below the current and in medium speed water. Watch out; they'll hit it hard.
