| Tying Instructions |
| Align barbs along shank such that the tips project forward of eye and the butts cover the thorax. Bind the butts to the shank in the thorax area and wind thread down to the bend. Dub mole onto thread and cover the shank up to the abdomen-thorax junction. Reverse barb tips to cover the shank. Tips should end just past the bend. Splay the barbs slightly to increase floatation. Bind down barbs to shank at the abdomen-thorax junction and whip finish at the same point. Last wrap of thread should have some mole on it in order to cover the thread wraps. |

| As described in Darrel Martin's 'Micropatterns' the Brambridge evolved on England's Itchen River. There it is used in the low, slow, clear water of late summer to entice wary browns. The fly should be soaked in floatant and dried prior to use. |
