  • Rib: Brown hackle
  • Head: Clip elk hair
  • Underbody: Peacock herl
  • Hook: Size 14 standard dry
  • Thread: Tan #6 uni-thread
  • Wing: Tan elk hair
  • Tying Instructions
    Wrap thread from half way of hook and back to bend. Tie in Herl (two strands ) and hackle. Twist herl and wind to just before eye of hook and tie off. Wind hackle to front and tie off. Clip small bunch of elk hair and use stacker to even tips. Clip off hair to length, normally length of hook. Wrap hair on hook with a couple of tight turns to flair hair to look like wings. Wrap under hair and over hook eye and tie off.
