    Fishing Tips
Once the trouts in my favourite flyfishing-holliday country Norway seems to eat only small tiny fast moving insects just below the surface. I tried everything possible to catch fish...but no way. I couldn't even find out what they were after.

That evening I invented this small black nymph and used a silver glassbead from the broken collar of my daughter. I went to the river again about midnight. Still unknowing what spectaculair results I would score. Trout and grayling, even the bigger ones atacked it like hell!! Fish it just below the surface and make it move fast trough the water.

Also a perfect fly to catch roach and red eyes when I'm home in Holland. Specially when there is duck weed (kroos) on the water and fish slurping small insect on the surface. Even in heavy visited reservoirs it's sometimes the only fly that is taken by these huge rainbows.

As you can see, not only fully dressed flies are successful. Everyone, even without experience can actually tie this pattern. Sometines it's good to tell people that fly fishing fun is not only for the high-tech and wiz-kid flyfishers, but for EVERYONE! More important, this fly really works. I tried it in several conditions and it appeared to be the right solution, especially when other flies simply don't work or at very selective fish. Give it a chance!
