  • Wingcase: Brown duck primary
  • Legs: Brown partridge feather
  • Tail: Brown partridge fibers
  • Thorax: Med brown dubbing
  • Thread: Tan Uni 8/0
  • Hook: TMC 100
  • Tying Instructions
    • Slip 4 beads on the hook.
    • Start thread behind beads, wrap to bend and tie in tail.
    • Build thread base to hold the beads, whip finish and cut off thread.
    • Apply a drop of superglue and slide the beads in place.
    • Start thread and tie in slip of duck feather.
    • Tie in partridge feather.
    • Bend the duck and partridge feather back over bead abdomen.
    • Dub thorax.
    • Pull partridge feather over dubbed thorax, tie down and clip excess.
    • Pull duck feather slip over partridge feather, tie down and clip excess.
    • Whip finish.
If the nymph is off-balance ad some (very little) lead wire to thorax before dubbing.
    Fishing Tips
It's a lightweight nymph that is great for shallow stillwater. I do not use it on very sunny days, since the abdomen catches and reflects a good deal of light.
