Bead Head Nymph
Tied by Rick Zieger
  • Head: Bead
  • Thorax: Black chenille
  • Abdomen: Red chenille
  • Legs: Rubber hackle
  • Hook: Size 6 to 12
  • Tying Instructions
    1. Slide bead on hook.
    2. Wrap thread about 1/3 hook length, tie in rubber legs. (This has a tendancy to push the legs rearward)
    3. Wrap thread to bend, and attach red chenille.
    4. Wrap thread, and then red chenille to just behind legs.
    5. Tie in a short piece of black chenille.
    6. Wrap thread through leg, and to bead.
    7. Wrap red chenille thru legs, and to bead. Wrap tightly and cut red chenille.
    8. Pull black chenille over legs and red chenille to bead. Wrap a few times, and cut off.
    9. Whip finish, and cement head.(Adjust legs if needed)

    Recipe: Griiled Fillets

Put bluegill fillets in a metal pan, and add 2 Tbls. of soy (or Teriyaki) to the fillets. Leave in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours, turning them once or twice in the pan.

Spray aluminum foil with PAM and put on the grill. When the grill is warm, put the fillets on the foil.

I find it better to turn the grill heat down some. It takes 5 to 10 minutes for them to cook.
