2. Posting to the list.

To send a message to the members of the list address an e-mail to vfb-mail@googlegroups.com. Please fill in the subject line to best describe the contents of the post.

3. Flames are NOT allowed.

Flaming will not be tolerated on this list and people who participate in these discussions will be reprimanded quickly and harshly. There are no second chances, consider this note as your first and only warning.

Think carefully before you post to the list. We expect kindness and politeness from each and every member of this list. Treat the other members of this list as you would treat them in a face to face conversation. If you feel that your post may be even slightly offensive or would be considered a "flame" either keep it to yourself or reply off list.

4. No Advertisements

This list is not to be used for commercial purposes. If you have a personal item for sale, a brief description may be posted with out price. All conversations regarding more information and price must be discussed off list with the seller.

No businesses can offer products for sale on this list.

It is okay for individuals to mention their business in a sig file, but it must not contain any more information than what would appear on a normal business card.

5. Sig File Limitations

Signature files must be limited to 6 lines or less. If you have a signature file that is larger than this, either create a new one which is smaller, or omit the signature completely from your posts to this list.

Signature file violations will result in one warning, repeat offenders will be removed from the list.

6. Replying to the list

When replying to the list and quoting the orignial message, please limit what you quote to only the pertinant information that you are replying to, and enough for other members to understand your reply. DO NOT quote the entire message.

This is especially important if you are subscribed to the mail digest.

If you would like to share a fishing related photograph with the VFB Mail members you may upload it to the "Files" section at http://groups.google.com/group/vfb-mail. Then you can provide the link to the file in your post.

Posting large files to the list is unfair to those members who are still on dial-up service. Especially in the digest mode.

10. Use of aliases or nicknames

The use of aliases or nicknames is highly discouraged. As a member of the flyfishing community, you should have no need to use an anonymous name. Please include your real name either in your sig file or your return address header.
