  • Thread: Black 6/0 or 8/0
  • Head: Black thread
  • Wing: Natuarl deer hair
  • Hook: Scud hook #18-22
  • Body: Tan (or your color choice) Zelon
  • Tying Instructions
    • Tie in Zelon at bottom bend of hook.
    • Wrap thread to just before hook eye.
    • Wrap Zelon to just before hook eye.
    • Tie in small bunch of deer hair.
    • Wrap thread many times to cover deer hair and to make the head.
    • Trim deer hair, whip finish, cement and you're done.
    Fishing Tips
    I like to fish this as a dropper fly (which is tied to the bend of the hook), dead drifted with upstream type approach.
