  • Head: Dubbed, same as the abdomen
  • Abdomen: Dubbed, Scintilla #10, translucent gray
  • Thread: Gray
  • Wingcase: Gray Fly Foam, strips, small
  • Rib: Maxima leader material 4 lbs
  • Thorax: Natural gray sheared mustrat fur, dubbed
  • Tail: Natural mallard flank fibers
  • Hook: TMC 101 size 12-16
  • Tying Instructions
    This is a pattern that I learned a couple of years ago at the FFF conclave at Livingston MT, in a class taught by Tom Travis on Stillwater Fly Patterns. I have used this pattern on small lakes for brook trout and cuttroat trout. It has been a very successful fly.
