Body: Claret blended squirrel dubbing. Any natural dubbing may be
substituted
Wing: Mallard flank
Tail: Mink guard hair
Hook: Mustad 9672 size #14

| Tying Instructions |
Tying is pretty basic. Attach the thread and wind it back covering the
hook shank, tie in the mink guard hair, dub the thread, wrap the body
and tie off, tie in the wing, and whip finish.
I like to fish this with a short jerky strip retrieve in either ponds or
slow moving water. Let it sink to about ten inches below the surface
and retrieve it in six to twelve inch twitches. Developed for
smallmouth, I have yet to test it on trout. |
