Hackle: Brown 'palmered over head'
Abdomen: Burnt orange hare's ear
Rib: Fine gold french tinsel & very light dun hackle 'palmered'
Tail: Light natural deer hair
Wing: Light natural deer hair
Hook: TMC 200 R

| Tying Instructions |
| Place thread on hook over center of shank, make several thread wraps forward towards eye of shank. Continue wrapping over first wraps back towards hook bend; wrap until 1/16th inch from the start of the bend. Tie in Deer hair at hook bend, using several soft loops. Tie in ribbing material (fine Gold tinsel & Very light dun hackle) on top of hook shank, then apply Burnt orange Hare's ear dubbing to thread. Wrap dubbed thread back to hook bend then reverse direction and wrap forward to 3/4 the shank or 4 hook eye length gap behind eye. Palmer the very light dun feather forwards to end of dubbing then secure with a few wraps of thread. Counter wrap the fine gold French tinsel to the same location and secure. Hold a small bundle of Light natural deer hair (stacked) over hook shank. It should equal the length of the hook. tie in deer hair using several soft loops gradually getting tighter. Tie in Brown hackle feather. Apply Bright orange Hare's ear dubbing to thread. Wrap dubbed thread forward to 1 hook eye length behind eye. Palmer hackle over head secure with a few wraps of thread. Whip Finish and apply small amount of head cement. whala!! |

| I fish a specific hatch of stone flies that occur on the San Antonio stream (a tributary of the Jemez river) on or about May 1st. It usually occurs at a time when the stream is in high runoff, so the water is usually a little murky thus the bright colors in the pattern. |
