  • Wing: 10-15 pieces of elk hair
  • Tail: Antron body wool (olive)
  • Thread: Black 8/0
  • Back: Same as tail
  • Hook: TMC 2457 size 16
  • Body: Tying thread
  • Tying Instructions
    • Begin by covering hook shank with tying tread.
    • Tie in about a dozen uneven threads of antron.
    • Tie in wingcase of antron.
    • Wrap body with tying thread till you like the shape.
    • Pull wingcase of antron over body and tie off with a couple of halfhitches.
    • Stack about 10-15 elk hairs and tie on like the wing on an elk hair caddis.
    Fishing Tips
    Long leader, sink tip or sinking line or whatever technique you use. I usually twitch it a little for movement. You might experiment with materials and techniques. Let me know.
